Whether it is pretty in pink or flower power your little lady
desires, designing and producing girls birthday party invitations can
be great fun. Creating them yourself can be a creative and cost
effective way to show how much you care.
The first order of business when creating wonderful girls birthday
party invitations should be deciding on a theme for the party. When
talking about a theme this can be anything from a special kid’s
character to pretty in pink bows to bright and brilliant flowers. The
theme for these invitations should reflect the overall intended feel
of the party. If you are doing a fashion themed party the invitations
should say that without necessary stating it in words.
Once you and your birthday lady have decided on a theme for the
invitations you will want to choose a format for the invitations. One
of the more popular styles is the postcard. This allows you to put
all of your information on one sheet and the format is easy to come up
with when you are doing these on your home computer. Most word
processing programs have a labels and mailing option under tools.
Once there you can find the option for postcards. These postcard
pages can be purchased at nearly any store that sells paper products
and are reasonably priced. However, if you choose not to purchase the
paper pre-perforated, you can choose bright colored card stock and cut
the cards yourself after printing.
Images to reflect the theme of your party, including popular
children’s characters, can be easily located and downloaded from the
internet. Be sure when using these images that you are not breaking
any copyright rules. Most of these, however, do allow for personal
use. When placing these images on the invitations make sure to leave
room for all of the pertinent party information to include a contact
number in bold and an RSVP return date. This will ensure that your
guests will contact you quickly as they will not have to do much work
to find your number. If you have chosen the postcard style and you
intend to send them through the mail, be sure to leave room for the
name and address of the guest and postage.
Take your time and be inventive and creative. Perhaps have your
child help you produce these masterpieces to peak their excitement for
the upcoming event. Be sure to set aside one of these lovely
creations for her scrap book.
